1. Time is Running OutFeel the rhythm, beating in your brain.
Feel the pressure, pumping in your vein. Time, it just passes us by as we fight, As we separate the reason from the right. Why can’t we stop pretending that our love is never-ending? Why can’t we just face reality? Simply loving you is not enough to make you see, The secrets deep in me. Time is running out. There’s no room for any doubt. Live like there is no tomorrow, Forget about your sorrow, And just dance with me, The way it’s meant to be. Let the music be your guiding force. Let the rhythm drive away your lonely thoughts. And I’ll be with you until the very end, ’Cause it’s true, Our time is running out. |
You, you are the essence of what happens in my dreams,
When reality’s no longer as it seems. I have your picture in my mind, Yet you act as if you’re blind. Well, tonight is the perfect opportunity, To compensate for what you’re missing, When you’re not with me, Just you wait and see. Time is precious but we’ve got it on our side, I know that you don’t love me, but tonight you’ll see the light. My body clock is ticking to the rhythm of the street, Just lose your inhibitions and surrender to the beat. The day has come to unite as one, To forget about our troubles and to finally move on. Time is running out, I need you around, So, come with me before it gets too late, And let us celebrate. |
Feel the rhythm, beating in your brain.
It’s the sound of life’s refrain. Feel the pressure, pumping in your vein. Loving you drives me insane. And when the sun rises up, you know the music won’t stop, it’s true... That simply loving you is never enough. There has to be something much higher, To bring us back together. Feel the rhythm, beating in your brain. Feel the pressure, pumping in your vein. And when the sun rises up, you know the music won’t stop, it’s true... That simply loving you is never enough. There has to be something much higher, To bring us back together. Rhythm. Pressure. Music. Loving you. |
2. Golden SectionI haven’t seen your face in quite a while,
Yet its image is playing on my brain. Now lately I’ve been thinking of the things, That came between us are no longer the same. I miss it when you’re near, and in my mind, I can almost hear you from afar, The distant calling of my name, From the mountains to the sea. Carried on the breeze. But if there’s one thing that will never change, It is the golden section of my heart that I reserve only for you. There’s no one else who makes me feel so blue, When you are so far outside my view. Photographs and memories of a time, When we were young and dreaming came so easily. Drinking in the sunlight, playing tunes, Idle conversations through the lazy afternoons. The warmth of your skin, the sand in your hair, The salt in the air, It reminds me of the taste of last year’s summer of love. A blessing from above. And if there’s one thing that I cannot let go. It is the golden section of my heart that I reserve only for you. There’s no one else who I adore like you, There’s no one who drives me so crazy, and can yet be so true. The golden section of my heart, That I reserve only for you. Bumping and grinding, and constantly pining in my heart, Is the section reserved for you. It’s the love you never knew. |
3. MísticoOnce upon a time, in a faraway land,
There lived a strange enchanted man. Carving his symbols in the sand, Drinking water from his cupped hand, And contemplating stars up in the sky. He was so lonely, So misunderstood was he, They just wouldn’t see... They just said how he would come and go, And they called him Señor Místico. And men will fight, and men will fail, And make exaggerated claims, Of grand designs and wonders to uphold. Philosophers will speak the truth, Emperors will have a diamond tooth, And sorcerers will turn metal to gold. But Místico was a simple man, Yet he could never find that thing he would so yearn. All that he ever wanted was to love and be loved in return. He wonders alone at night, While others take their flight, From Señor Místico. And then one fateful day, he died, His life was tragically cut short, By circumstances ‘yond nature’s control. It happened so suddenly, No rhyme, nor reason, And the sad thing is he never reached his goal. Nevertheless, history will move on. No one will even realise that he is gone. But I won’t forget, and the world will know, The story of Señor Místico. |
4. Notes in Twist-Dizzy-AThe tune is the same tune we all knew,
It moves in its angular flight. But the harmony is bit twisted, Never does it sound so right. The bars are the same length and measure, But only the band understand. They bring a significant pleasure, When played by a different hand. Lips fail to create the wail, Of Dizzy’s trumpet, so refined. Each note’s a higher note, In Latin Jazz, he so defined. It’s part African. It’s part Spanish. With a bit of the Middle East, Re-harmonised notes in Twist-Dizzy-A, Turn into a different piece. |
5. MoonlightSomewhere deep inside your Aquarius eyes,
There’s a story waiting to be told. It is wrapped in dreams, Cascading in streams outside my window, Following the pathways of your mystifying tears, Your silence tells me all of your fears. I see colours changing, Seasons are fading through the years. When we’re lost in song and dance and strange romance. This could be our last ever chance. To lose ourselves in the mysteries of the night. Before we surrender to the morning light. |
Ever since that moment of that wild exotic dance.
I remember the lessons that I learned. That there is no escaping what you feel inside, When the moonlight touches you, tonight. Flying through the midnight in an open top ride, Captured in the spray of ocean tide. I hear the distant beat at the end of the street, I feel alive. Dizzy and delirious from the heat of the day, Incandescent in the red-hot summer white, After the sun beats down, There’s a carnival in town, Hold tight. |
Under the leaves of the coconut trees,
The band plays us into a trance. As crickets pulsate in the sweet summer breeze, And the fireflies they delicately dance. Now there are no secrets, it is clear as day. How the song and dance intoxicate your mind. No surprises, No fake disguises, When the moonlight touches you, tonight. There’ll be no resolution. Unless you can learn the truth. When midsummer moonlight. Touches you tonight Moonlight. |
6. ConundrumDarling, please,
Tell me the reasons for your alibis, Help me solve this riddle, let me see the light. Spell out the signs I do not recognise, As I look into your eyes. My soul, it cries, and my spirit dies, I realise, that between us lies a mystifying, cryptic conundrum! I know that we have a problem, Yet you don't seem to care, Cryptic conundrum, And it's getting us nowhere. And when the temperature rises, And the fire starts to flare. Going round in circles, now really, Why can't we just be friends? We can make amends. Friends, just like the river bends. Friends, 'til the story ends. And goes round and around again, Back where it all began. Conundrum! |
Rescue me out of this sick cycle carousel.
Take me through your tunnel of love. Where it will take us, only time will tell. As the wheel of fortune turns. My heart, it burns and my stomach churns, As I yearn, To learn the secrets of this mystifying, cryptic conundrum! Conundrum! |
I know that we have a problem,
Yet you don't seem to care, Cryptic conundrum, And it's getting us nowhere. I know that we have a problem, Yet you don't seem to care, And when the temperature rises, And the fire starts to flare. Softly, as in the morning sunrise. The light of love comes stealing Never does it shine so bright. |
7. Sign of LoveYou are the sun in the sky above,
You are the angel that I’m always dreaming of, You are the message on the feathers of the dove, You’re a sign of love. You are the spring that is rushing near, You are the season that I wait for every year, You are the story that I’m longing to hear, You’re a sign of love. This love, it grows each day, when you’re far away, Beyond the blue horizon, When you return, it’s like the dawning of a brand new day, And it’s okay. So let us stay, don’t go away, when the clouds are grey, We’ll fly so high in the sky, And I wouldn’t trade it for the world, You’re a sign of love. |
You are the place to which I always flee,
You are the island in a never-ending sea, You are my sanctuary, my serendipity, You’re a sign of love. You are the air in which I thrive, You are the fountain of my energy, my drive, You are the reason that I’m still alive, You’re a sign of love. This love, written in the stars, from Venus to Mars, Reflected in the lake, In the palm of my hand, And in the circles in the sand, Across the land. What would I do? Who would I be without you? How would I ever learn the meaning of this life, Without you by my side? You’re a sign of love. |
You are the sunlight in the sky above.
You are the angel that I’m always dreaming of, You’re a sign of love. You are the sunlight in the sky above. You are the angel that I’m always dreaming of, You’re a sign of love. You are the sunlight in the sky above. You are the angel that I’m always dreaming of, You are the sunlight in the sky above. You are the angel that I’m always dreaming of, And when the sun rises up. I know my sadness will stop. And in the warmth of your light, I see our future is bright |
8. SummertimeSummertime,
And the living is easy. Fish are jumping, And the cotton is high. Oh, your daddy's rich, And your mum is good looking. So hush, little baby, Don't you cry. One of these mornings, You're going to rise up singing. Then you'll spread your wings, And you'll take to the sky. But 'til that morning, There's a nothing can harm you. With mummy and daddy standing by. |
9. SuperstarlightTonight, my dear, light a candle for the way things used to be,
In remembrance of our long lost innocence. Tonight, it’s clear, things will change from what they used to be, You’ll see as the evening draws near. Something trivial , That started out as a game turned into something very real. So primal and instinctive, Very natural, You made me see the universal light, Of my desire. Superstarlight, where are you from? You came out of the night into my daylight. Superstarlight, where are you going? So far out of sight. All it takes, is just one day, To fall in love and find yourself, At the start of the end. |
Anxiously, I wait up at my window for your return,
To rediscover the things I’ll never learn. As the eve wears on and the lights are fading, With stars and satellites rotating, How long you keep me waiting? I never asked you to stay, You gave me no decision I hide myself away, ‘Cause if I open up, Everything will come out at once, And I’m never going to stop until the day, You come my way. Superstarlight, where are you from? You came out of the night into my daylight. Superstarlight, where are you going? So far out of sight. All it takes, is just one day, To fall in love and find yourself, At the start of the end. It’s not that I’m afraid of things not working out, It’s more that I’m afraid of something that’s so wrong, Turning to something so right, And that I’ll never ever let go, ‘cause I cannot bear for it to end. |
Superstarlight, it burns, my heart, it yearns,
Forbidden love, that’s never meant to be. It takes me places I know I shouldn’t see, It makes me hurt; yet I no longer feel a thing. Superstarlight, enough of craving love, Embrace the way that things are meant to be. I feel so free, yet so hollow and so empty, Without fear or responsibility. Superstarlight, the end is here my friend, I’ve tasted things I’m not supposed to have, I’m not afraid of being betrayed, ‘Cause I know, that in just one day, I’ll fall in love and find myself, At the start of the end. Please do not pity me; I’ll be just fine. I’ll carry on as I always do, my destiny aligned, With the stars that never show to me the providential sign, Of a long lost love made in heaven, a resolution so divine. They say things happen for a reason, you were never right for me. They say we are the sum total of our actions, our reactions. I want to cry, but I can’t because I’ll make others feel so bad. Instead, I’ll carry on and pretend that I’m not so sad. After all, love’s a lie; we can never find the truth. Nothing’s real, the things I feel must be forgotten and suppressed. It’s what I’ve learned to expect, from the game the people play. When they wave a flag and then disappear, and I’ll never have my way |
10. Move To The Music
|
Everybody is searching for enlightenment.
On an everlasting quest for their entitlement, To peace of mind, through denying the way that things are meant to be. Disappointed when it’s not the way they see. Trying to change the future is overrated. Living for the moment is understated. Accepting it the way it is, it’s the key to eternal bliss It’s true that the music and the movement determine you. And there’s nothing really else that you need to do. If you move to the music, then you’ll live to a hundred. And there’s no explanation to be found. And there’s no satisfaction like the perfect number, To discover everything around. If you move to the music, then you’ll live to a hundred And the rest is determined by the sound. There is no resolution like the pure vibration, When life will take you underground. Into wells of sadness and gardens of dreams. Where nothing is ever as it seems. Soon you will understand, These pretty dreams are nothing more than: Complicated mysteries, Fictitious flights of fantasies, There’s no higher reality, Nothing you need to strive to be. Just be yourself, and live a hundred years. |

11. Lullaby (In Dying Light)In dying light, I see you smiling down at me, from above.
And all the while, I feel your beauty shine on me. And I know, All is well. All the turmoil that I had inside has gone away. And peaceful nights, when I’m lying in your arms, Once more, are here to stay. Stay with me now, lying in your arms. There’s no-where I’d rather be. Stay here with me. We can sing a lullaby. A lullaby, In dying light. |
12. MoondanceWell it's a marvellous night for a moondance,
With the stars up above in your eyes. A fantabulous night to make romance, 'Neath the cover of November skies. And all the leaves on the trees are falling, To the sound of the breezes that blow. And I'm trying to please to the calling, Of your heart-strings that play soft and low. You know the night's magic seems to whisper and hush. And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush... Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love? Can I just make some more romance with you, my love? |
Well I want to make love to you tonight,
I can't wait till the moment has come. And I know now the time is just right, And straight into my arms you will run. And when you come my heart will be waiting, To make sure you're never alone. There and then all my dreams will come true, There and then I will make you my own. And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside. And I know how much you want me that you can't hide Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love? Can I just make some more romance with you, my love? |
Well it's a marvellous night for a moondance,
With the stars up above in your eyes. Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love? Well it's a marvellous night for a moondance, With the stars up above in your eyes. One more moondance, Some more romance. |
